Our Union Learning Reps (ULRs) Eva Langrock-Bircher and Nicky Bree have arranged a series of “Lunch and Learn” sessions in Shire Hall, Gloucester. These short, informative courses are delivered by trained tutors, over a free buffet lunch, and there is plenty of opportunity for participants to share their experiences and views. The series includes sessions on issues which directly affect our members, including Menopause at Work, Mental Health Awareness, Bullying at Work and Managing Finances.

These activities are made possible by support from the TUC’s union learning fund, which helps members to explore learning, develop skills, achieve qualifications and promote lifelong learning opportunities within the workplace. “Lunch and Learns” have proved very popular so far, and we are planning to hold similar events in other workplaces in Gloucestershire.
